This mural of aluminum and cast glass is inspired by the explosive energy of the fighters’ response to an emergency. Images of water and fire surge outward alongside bolts of lightning, which stand as a reminder of the early icon of Fire Station 6 and as a symbol of the strength, speed and power that characterize the firefighters’ service to the community.  Throughout the mural are bas-relief castings in glass of tools and textures from Fire Station 6.
